North Korean leader Kim Jong-un took a surprise evening tour of downtown Singapore on Monday, the eve of his highly-anticipated summit with U.S. President Donald Trump.

The huddle will come before a larger meeting and a working lunch attended by top advisers to the president and their North Korean counterparts.

Pompeo spoke to journalists Monday evening, calling the summit "truly a mission of peace" and saying that the US president is "going into this meeting with confidence, a positive attitude and eagerness for real progress". "We will all know soon whether or not a real deal, unlike those of the past, can happen!"

Critics at home said the joint statement by the two leaders was short on detail and that Trump had made too many concessions to Kim. "Trump is fully prepared for the meeting tomorrow".

Here's a look back at some of the many comments Trump has shared on Twitter about the North Korean leader. Singapore's foreign minister posted a selfie with Kim inside what's known as the "flower dome".

"Great to be in Singapore, excitement in the air!"

It's been a little over half a year since Ghost of Tsushima was first revealed, and since then, we've seen very little of it. After his beatdown, Spider-Man looked up, said something along the lines of, "it's you?" just before the trailer went dark.

Trump has accepted an invitation to return to Singapore for a state visit this fall.

After his premature departure from Quebec, he continued to tweet angrily at Trudeau from Singapore, saying on Monday, "Fair Trade is now to be called Fool Trade if it is not Reciprocal".

Accompanying Trump were White House Chief of Staff John Kelly, National Security Advisor John Bolton and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo. They say they want US hostile policy lifted - that means recognizing them as a country, it means diplomatic relations, it means dealing with their security concerns, and that means ending the Korean War with a peace treaty.

The two leaders are at the site, with Kim arriving at 8:55 p.m., and Trump showing up five minutes later.

There has been no indication Rodman would be involved in any official talks at the summit, which is aimed at getting North Korea to give up its nuclear weapons and missiles in exchange for economic incentives and security guarantees.
