Pep Guardiola has defended himself against Yaya Toure's accusation that he has a problem with African players, calling the Ivorian's claim a "lie".

They also have some way to go before matching the likes of Manchester United, who won three Premier League titles in a row twice.

Guardiola says Toure "knows that I'm not racist" and did not raise the issue during their two years together at City. "I am not the same, nor do they even look at me in the same way", he told TV3.

"At a time when English clubs are spending huge sums of money on players, I officially declare that Yaya is ready to move to any top-six English club as a free agent with a salary of £1 per week", he said.

Guardiola has since spoken out, vehemently denying Toure's claims.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's daughters will NOT inherit a royal title
But now it has been reported Meghan and the Queen will sleep on the train next Wednesday for an overnight journey to the north. As he's the oldest son of Prince Charles , his children will all be titled Princes and Princesses.

If Toure lowers his sights, former City manager Manuel Pellegrini could try and sign him for West Ham.

Pep Guardiola has said that his Manchester City side were not the greatest Premier League team ever. We have had two years, 365 + 365 (days) to say it - and we can talk.

The midfielder had to wait until City's final home game of the season against Brighton for his first start of the season. When you see the problems he (Pep) has often had with African players, everywhere he has been, I ask myself questions.

"He will never admit it but the day he fields a team with five Africans, non-naturalised, I promise that I will send him a cake." he added.

"It's a lie and he knows it", Guardiola said. It was a generation of brutal players and the best player in the world.
