The 26-year-old had surgery in Brazil amid fears he wouldn't be fit for the World Cup.

Second-half goals from Neymar and Roberto Firmino guided Brazil to a 2-0 win over Croatia in a friendly worldwide at Anfield on Sunday.

Liverpool's Roberto Firmino wrapped the game up with a 93rd minute goal.

Neymar scored in Brazil's 2-0 win over Croatia.

Neymar is set to make his return from injury as a second-half substitute for Brazil after he fractured a metatarsal and sprained his ankle in a PSG match against Marseille back in February.

Brazil, who became the first team to qualify for the World Cup in March, face Austria next Sunday before starting their Group E campaign against Switzerland on 17 June.

There was still work to do but Neymar somehow managed to force the ball past goalkeeper Danijel Subasic and in off the cross-bar from the edge of the six-yard area.

Sanju trailer: Rajkumar Hirani’s magically transforms Ranbir Kapoor into Sanjay Dutt
Last year, when filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani announced Ranbir's name for the Dutt biopic, many called it a suicide mission. An overwhelming majority, however, feels that Ranbir is nearly like Sanjay Dutt in the Trailer.

Coutinho earned a warm reception from the Anfield crowd as he was replaced late on by Fred, who has been tipped to complete a move to Manchester United in the coming days.

Croatia's Andrej Kramaric and Ivan Perisic were both cautioned by English referee Michael Oliver in the first half, along with Brazilian Fernandinho whose high-footed challenge left Vrsaljko needing a large bandage to a head wound.

Ahead of Croatia friendly, Tite was asked Neymar's anticipated return.

"By the third, fourth or fifth game then he will be back to his level", added the Brazil coach.

After a low-key opening in the Liverpool sunshine, Brazil fashioned the first chance when Gabriel Jesus, captaining the side, led a counter-attack that ended when Willian's flick was scrambled away.

However, one positive for the future for Croatia is that they do still have Mario Mandzukic to come into the team and perhaps provide the finishing they need for the World Cup.
