Reality TV star Kim Kardashian West visits the White House to meet with top White House adviser Jared Kushner on prison reform; FBN's Connell McShane has insight.

She has been urging the President to pardon 63-year-old Alice Marie Johnson, who has spent more than two decades behind bars and is not eligible for parole.

The Armenian-American star meant to ask the President to forgive a 62-year-old woman named Alice Johnson who serves a life sentence without parole for a first-time drug offense.

"We're optimistic about Ms. Johnson's future and hopeful that she - and so many like her - will get a second probability at life", she wrote in a follow-up tweet.

For her part, Kardashian has dipped her toe into the realm of prison reform by advocating for the release of Alice Marie Johnson.

Prison reform has been a key issue for Kushner. "Since then, Kim has championed the cause of Cyntoia Brown and asked me to help her get involved in that effort as well".

She said this "proves what we have consistently maintained - namely, that Hamas' stated objective is the destruction of Israel ". Israel says Hamas is responsible for the bloodshed, and accuses the group of using the demonstrations as a cover for attacks.

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders declined to give details over the meeting between Trump and Kardashian West. It's not hard feelings towards the White House, the president, or anybody. Given a life sentence on October 31, 1996, she has served 21 years at the federal prison in Aliceville, Alabama.

She added, "Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump have been unbelievable in their support and in their advocacy for prison reform". She was one of the first celebrities to speak on Brown's case and even enlisted her own attorney, Shawn Holley, to assist in Brown's case.

Mic reported May 2 that Kardashian West and Kushner had spoken on the phone about the possibility of pardoning Johnson.

In their version of Twitter diplomacy, she later tweeted her thanks to the president.

"I think Kim is bored with her money and unsatisfied with her marriage. you come here to hear it straight, right?" she continued.

The reality star hinted at her trip to the nation's capital earlier on Wednesday.
