According to the most recent update of the big bookmakers, Cyprus will win the Eurovision Song Contest and claim the title for the first time in history.

The European Broadcasting Union (EBU), which provokes the contest also distributes it to broadcasters around the world, said it had taken the activity soon after Mango TV cut two behaves in the first semifinal, broadcast on Tuesday.

A statement from the EBU said, "This is not in line with the EBU's values of universality and inclusivity and our proud tradition of celebrating diversity through music", as quoted by CNN.

So it makes sense to spell this one out yet again, so we can all crack on with more important matters - such as who to bet on to win some money and which (responsibly undertaken) drinking games to deploy ahead of Saturday's final.

The country also enforces strict guidelines that say 'programmes should not feature actors with tattoos, hip hop culture, sub-culture (non-mainstream culture), and dispirited culture (decadent culture)'.

LGBT culture remains taboo in China's entertainment industry where same-sex relationships are banned from television screens and gay content is forbidden on online streaming platforms.

China, Japan and South Korea highlight unity amid North Korea moves
The South Korean minister said that the South Korean government is looking forward to a forward-looking relationship with Japan. The summit hopes to improve the sometimes-frayed ties among the three north-east Asian neighbours.

The Eurovision Song Contest has completed its lineup of 26 contestants who will face off for this year's crown, following a second semifinal.

The EBU announced on Friday the termination of its contract with China's MangoTV, preventing it from broadcasting Thursday's second semi-final and Saturday's grand final hosted in Lisbon, Portugal.

After four successive years of failing to qualify for the grand final, it means Ireland could be on course for its best result in over a decade.

"From the very start we've just said, "love is love, doesn't matter if it's between two guys, two girls, or a guy and a girl", O'Shaughnessy said.

Those involved but not necessarily the face of the performance are not forgotten; the songwriters and composers of the winning entry receive smaller versions of the same trophy.
