From Round 3 through Round 5, they continued to meet value with need, selecting linebacker Lorenzo Carter, defensive tackle B.J. Hill, quarterback Kyle Lauletta and defensive lineman R.J. McIntosh. Carter is a fast and strong edge rusher who can set the edge against the pass or the run. Taking Lauletta in the fourth round also shows the team wants backup Davis Webb, the third-round pick past year, to have competition in training camp.
