Derrius Guice's stunning fall down the board in the NFL Draft finally came to an end on Friday as he was selected by the Washington Redskins.

Former Eagles running back Brian Westbrook confirmed on local Philadelphia radio that he heard Guice got into "an argument" with Howie Roseman, the Eagles' vice president of football operations.

For the Redskins, getting a first-round talent who plays each snap like it's his last, will now also want to prove to the rest of the league what a mistake it made passing over him. General manager Bob Quinn did not get into specifics except to say that for some teams there were some questions about Guice.

This comes on the heels of Guice denying said allegations.

This could very much be a reason why, though it is just a report, so the truth may have to come out later. "I have a great personality and I just didn't understand why everything just hit so hard with me out of everybody", Guice said on a conference call.

While the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft was thrilling, the second round has yielded some of the best picks in recent memory. At this point, no one really knows that to make of it.

Whatever the case may be, Washington might have gotten a steal.

That visit was at the same time Da'Ron Payne, the team's first-round selection, was visiting. "So we'll wait and see and talk to Derrius, but he's assured us there was no altercation there at all". But, we know where he ended up now, and it's not the end of the world.

This is the highest pick the Redskins have used on a running back since Ledell Betts in 2002. "There were just some things that we were a little concerned about, weren't ready to take him in the early second round".

In three years at LSU, Guice ran for 3,074 yards and 29 touchdowns and caught 32 passes for 250 yards and three scores. Let's take a look at three backs they could select throughout these three draft days.
