Russian Federation defense ministry says to deploy new air defense systems to Syria

The West blamed the chemical weapons attack on the Syrian government, days after which, in retaliation, the US, United Kingdom and France carried out joint missile strikes on Syrian military bases on April 14.

Inspectors with the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) are investigating a second site in Syria's Douma to determine whether chemical weapons were used. The three governments launched airstrikes into Syria, hitting alleged chemical weapons facilities.

The report did not specify which air defense systems Russian Federation was planning to deploy to Syria, where Moscow is propping up embattled forces loyal to President Bashar Al-Assad. Undoubtedly, Israel's attack on Syria's T-4 base, where people were killed, should be considered an aggressive act as well, the political scientist told Pravda.Ru.

Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman warned Tuesday that if Syria uses Russian-made air defense missiles against Israel, the IDF will strike back.

"It would be unconscionable for US government funds to be used for stabilization or reconstruction in areas under control of the illegitimate Assad regime and its proxies".

Israel has not taken sides in the Syrian civil war, but its air force has carried out dozens of airstrikes during the fighting, most believed to have been aimed at suspected arms shipments to the militant Lebanese group Hezbollah, another key Assad ally.

Mike D'Antoni feels Rockets have not played very well in 'months'
The Rockets will need Gordon - or another breakout performance from Gerald Green - in order to reclaim control of this series. James Harden had a quiet 29 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists, while Chris Paul had 17 points and six assists.

There is no shortage of reasons to be concerned about the entangled drama unfolding in Syria, as Russian Federation maneuvers on a shifting landscape that could see Israel and Iran collide in a direct confrontation. Syria has only occasionally fired on Israeli warplanes, and then only when they are raiding Syrian airspace and bombing Syrian targets.

Israel and Russian Federation have maintained close contact in order to prevent any clashes between their air forces in the skies over Syria.

The defense minister noted that Russian Federation already has its own S-300 air defense system in Syria, along with the more advanced S-400 system, and that "hasn't limited our operations".

Royce added that "at the same time as this carnage is going on, representatives of Syria, Iran and Russian Federation have spread out across the worldwide community trying to gin up reconstruction money", but "they will not find it here".

"I think Russians have no reason to seek friction with us, and we are not looking for friction with them", he said.

"One thing needs to be clear", Liberman said.
