Snead, 25, is coming off a disappointing year with New Orleans in 2017. Had the Saints tendered him an offer, it would have cost $1.9 million.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Snead will join the Baltimore Ravens after the Saints declined to match their offer for the young wide receiver.

Snead tweeted: "What I'm going to miss most is the men in the locker room & the coaches".

Plunkett struck in his first over, having the irrepressible Rahul caught by a diving Avesh Khan at short fine leg. Shreyas Iyer was the batsman of the match as he kept the Daredevils hopes alive till the very last over.

On the final day of restricted free agency, the Ravens signed Snead to an offer for $10.4 million total over the two years.

He added: "Even though I'm sad to go, I'm even more excited for the next chapter in my life".

The deal has not been announced by the NFL. A 2014 undrafted free agent, Snead caught 141 of 206 targets for 1,879 yards and seven touchdowns over 30 games in 2015 and 2016, but then had only eight catches in 11 contests past year, failing to regain his old role after starting the season with a three-game DUI suspension and a hamstring injury.

In 2015, he had 69 receptions for 984 yards. Though he only caught eight passes for 92 yards last season, the potential is there.
