Friday, April 20th was a dark day for the world of electronic dance music, as we've lost a young and attractive soul Tim Bergling a.k.a. Avicii. Relatives Bergling have confirmed this sad information and asked to respect the private life of a DJ. "No further statements will be given". Yesterday, per CNN, police released a statement stating that they had ruled out any sort of foul play in his death. Expressen states he put in time with pals, went kite surfing and loved the united states was planning to live a few times. Bergling broke into the scene back in the late '00s as part of the same wave that saw the rose of Calvin Harris, David Guetta, and the Swedish House Mafia. It around the time he gained more fan for the Etta James-sampled dance jam, "Le7els", which reached No. 1 in Sweden.

After having his gallbladder and appendix removed in 2014, he cancelled a series of shows in an attempt to recover.

Non-clubbers also heard EDM's energy when Avicii teamed up with rockers Coldplay on "Sky Full of Stars", with Chris Martin's voice giving way to fast-building, synthesized ecstasy.

Avicii said his more than 800 shows had taken a toll on him, added to his anxiety and drawn him to a life of partying. I started touring when I was 18.

"Mainly that I would look ungrateful".

"But I think he didn't really know from the beginning [at age 19] what it means to be that successful", Tsikurishvili said.

It's believed he stopped drinking in 2016 and has been sober since. House music forerunner Frankie Knuckles and NY party organizer David Mancuso have both died in recent years, but both were considerably older.

The 28-year-old had six top 10 singles in Australia and won two MTV Music Awards, one Billboard Music Award and eared two Grammy nominations.

It was a decision that shook the electronic dance world, and one Tim Berling, then 27, did not take lightly.

Avicii is the subject of the 2017 Levan Tsikurishvil documentary "Avicii: True Stories".
