Neither Darnold nor Rosen is best NFL QB prospect, says college pundit

The Giants can potentially take Sam Darnold from USC, Josh Allen from Wyoming, Josh Rosen from UCLA or Baker Mayfield from Oklahoma. Russell Wilson was supposed to be a project for Seattle, but he outplayed pricey free agent pickup Matt Flynn to help spark a four-win improvement from the previous season. However, most pundits rank them differently and one of those three prospects may be on the board when the Jets select in the third round.

With the 2018 NFL Draft right around the corner, we break down the top draft options for the New England Patriots. According to multiple whispers around the league's water cooler, that would include NY nabbing former Penn State running back Saquon Barkley with the second overall pick.

Other running backs that could be available in Rounds 3-5... They also have glaring needs.

With the whirlwind of free agency winding down and the NFL Draft drawing near, I made a decision to take some time to discuss questions from the Detroit Lions fan base. There are a bunch of really good quarterback prospects in this draft class, and Cleveland could go in a number of different ways when they kick off the draft next Thursday. Darnold has the fewest question marks of them all, so it makes sense. The Giants selected North Carolina linebacker Lawrence Taylor and perhaps you've heard of him. He also returned two kickoffs for touchdowns.

So, yeah, the Giants did pretty well on that one.

Unemployment drop and rise in pay are cause for optimism
The Office of National Statistics has found that growth in wages underperformed compared to a year ago . Wages data released yesterday showed pay packets excluding bonuses had picked up pace to 2.8 per cent.

Mayfield, the 2018 Heisman victor, is one of the players Arizona is considering drafting No. 15 overall in the National Football League draft, though he is expected to be picked well before the Cardinals pick. Allen has better "physical" traits than the other top QBs. Defensive end is another position that is a need for the Giants, especially after the Jason Pierre-Paul trade.

Unfortunately, all great things come to an end.

-Both are considered the safest pick in ths draft at their position and both have the high ceiling/low floor that you want in the top 10. It took Jones three seasons to become a steady starter and even then he didn't make a huge impact in two seasons of work there. But having covered these players for years, we have a good grasp on the quality of these players and where a good spot for each of them could go.

The Giants wouldn't have a top-five pick again until 2004, when they found themselves in need of a new franchise quarterback. He is a high ceiling low floor player with a big chance to be a bust.
