The organization is widely respected as the authority on gaming records worldwide, and the administrative board has voted to strip Donkey Kong player Billy Mitchell of his world record scores.

Carlos Piniero, who Mitchell "engaged to help examine the dispute case claims on his behalf", made a final finding that was "consistent with Twin Galaxies investigation and others", the scoreboard administrators wrote. All of Mitchell's previous scores been removed from the leaderboards, and he has also been banned from participating in the competitive leaderboards in the future. Opposing him on the top of the Donkey Kong leaderboards was Billy Mitchell; an old-school arcade gamer who basically built his entire life around his high scores. This means that players can not use emulators or any other software to play the game.
