LAS VEGAS - Floyd Mayweather said Saturday night that if he elects to come out of retirement, it will be to fight in the UFC.

"Retirement has been great, but as you know and everyone knows, I go into retirement and I come back", he said. I want to do it if the money is right.

Dana White welcomes Floyd Mayweather to take part in an MMA bout inside the octagon, but there's just one thing: The UFC president wants nothing to do with Showtime.

Fans of UFC and most sports fans over the world were left shocked on Thursday night when news emerged that the "Notorious" Conor McGregor lived up to his insane image by gatecrashing the UFC 223 media event. I know that when we fought, we both sold the fight.

In the interview, Mayweather said he would likely compete at featherweight in MMA. I spoke with [Showtime parent company] CBS.

Boxing appears to be dead and over for Mayweather as an active fighter.

Former South African President Jacob Zuma To Face Corruption Charges In Court
Even though Jacob Zuma has resigned as president of South Africa and been charged with corruption, he still has loyal supporters. Zuma is facing 16 charges relating to 783 payments he allegedly received in connection with the controversial arms deal.

Asked again if he would come back, Mayweather responded, "Absolutely".

Mixed martial arts star McGregor was arraigned on Friday on charges including felony criminal mischief and assault, following a melee outside at a UFC sponsored media event in New York City that left fighters injured and a bus window smashed.

UFC commissioner Dana White has expressed confidence that Mayweather, aware of the financial implications, would make the move to UFC. McGregor is now facing multiple charges in NY and is due back for a hearing on June 14.

The boxer, who has grossed over $900 million (£639million) in an unbeaten 20-year career, winning world titles in five weight divisions, added: "When I do go to the Octagon I look forward to going to 145 (pounds)".

Indeed, Money has even speculated that a UFC fight with McGregor could be on the cards in the near future.
