Cleveland Cavaliers' Tyronn Lue will ease his way back to coaching

Head coach of the Cleveland Cavaliers, Tyronn Lue, is expected to attend the team's home game Friday against the New Orleans Pelicans as an observer.

No active player is within 600 games of James' record (James Harden entered play Friday with 257), but LeBron wouldn't bite when asked Friday if he thought it was a record that would never been broken. That nine-man list doesn't even count DeMarcus Cousins, who rang up a triple-double against the Cavs, with 29 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists, but is out for the season due to injury.

That would be an unfair assessment to make for both the Cavs and Ty Lue. Overall, the Cavs were 11 for 28 from beyond the arc.

The Cavaliers invited the UNC baseball team, who was in Charlotte after playing the 49ers the night before, to the team's brunch so that the Cavs could spend some time with UNC's team service dog, Remington.

Joel Embiid ruled out for Sixers' road trip with unclear prognosis
He was later diagnosed with a concussion, and after undergoing a CT scan, an orbital fracture was revealed on his left eye. The Sixers were scheduled to fly to Atlanta on Thursday afternoon for Friday's game against the Hawks at Phillips Arena.

It only took a little more than 18 minutes for the Cavaliers to avoid a loss that would have dropped them from third to fifth in the Eastern Conference, as they rallied to beat the New Orleans Pelicans 107-102. The sixth-seeded Pelicans are now just one game behind the fourth-seeded San Antonio Spurs (44-32) but also just two games ahead of the ninth-seeded Los Angeles Clippers (41-34).

Rondo return: Pelicans guard Rajon Rondo had seven points and eight assists in his return to the lineup after missing the past two games with a right wrist injury.

That cold shooting continued in the second, with the Cavs making just 3-of-13 (23 percent) from the field, which allowed the Pelicans to go on a 19-6 run and take a 48-35 lead with 4:25 left in the half. "There needs to be the ability for a young person and his family to say, 'You know, what I really want to do is just become a professional ballplayer.' And they ought to be provided that opportunity if they don't want to go to college".

There's been a handful of times this season when LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers looked like they were close to full strength. As for Anthony Davis shaving his Unibrow? "When we're walking through the hallways, sometimes he'll just anchor, which means he'll just come and sit in front of them". We are taking the Cavaliers 109-96.
