To the surprise of nearly no one, 2017's massive breakout hit, PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG) is now available for Android and iOS devices worldwide. The iOS version requires iOS 9.0 or higher and is compatible with the iPhone 5s and newer.
In one month, PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds - you might have heard of it - had amassed 3 million players on Xbox One.
"We are very excited to launch PUBG Mobile on iOS and Android internationally", said Tencent vice president Chen Jerry in a statement. After Fortnite released its limited access mobile version for the iOS, highly popular Chinese mobile gaming company Tencent who had bought the rights to PUBG for mobile released the game officially in regions worldwide. As described on the app store, the game uses Unreal Engine 4 brings that brings a phenomenal visual experience with detail rendering, an expansive HD map, and realistic scenes. They haven't made too many changes to the game, so you can still expect the massive survival deathmatch that's so key to the core of the PUBG experience, except optimized for touchscreens. Even so, both games are worth trying if you have a device that can run them.

The game's description on Google Play says the game also features high-quality graphics and HD audio, realistic weapons, voice chat for squad communication and powerful anti-cheat mechanisms, among others.
The latest patch for PUBG on Xbox One has arrived. It doesn't cost you anything to install and play PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds on iOS and Android.
