The low unemployment rates appear to be translating to higher wages for those with jobs. Other industry gains this month included education, construction, accommodations and food services, and finance and insurance.
The largest decline was in professional and business services, which lost 2,300 jobs. California added more than 400,000 jobs while Texas added more than 240,000.
