Cleveland Cavaliers' Kevin Love discloses bouts with panic attacks, mental health

It was something Love did not think he needed to do until the 29-year-old suffered a panic attack during the middle of a game against the Atlanta Hawks on November 5.

Furthermore, Love's issues are mental and emotional rather than physical and it's still a real issue but the concerns are now different.

One of the reasons I wanted to write this comes from reading DeMar's comments last week about depression.

Love expressed the same sentiment, concluding his letter by saying, "Not talking about our inner lives robs us of really getting to know ourselves and robs us of the chance to reach out to others in need". Love was overcome by anxiety during a November 5 game against Atlanta and was briefly hospitalized. "We're human beings, so I appreciate him". People don't talk about mental health enough and DeRozan and Love have recognized that needs to change.

CLEVELAND (AP) - Cavaliers All-Star Kevin Love has opened up about his panic attack this season and his struggles with mental health.

Suspected jihadist questioned as investigations into B. Faso attacks kick off
A gunman who attacked the military headquarters was wearing the uniform of the national army , according to a security source . The landlocked nation of Burkina Faso is one of the poorest countries in the world.

But the stigma around discussing and treating mental health is, we hope, slowly diminishing thanks in part to those in the spotlight using their vast platform to speak out about their own struggles. "That's where we need to get to", Love said. Sure, he said. My professor would later check on me, but to everyone that had witnessed the event ... this was the end of it. "When I got up to walk out of the huddle, I knew I couldn't reenter the game - like, literally couldn't do it physically". The simple act of dunking a basketball is filled with testosterone and yet Love explained a panic attack better than I've ever been able to: "But it was real - as real as a broken hand or a sprained ankle". Stress about on and off-court things seemed to exacerbate things but Love felt the usual symptoms one would have when suffering a panic attack. He made an early exit and was admitted into the hospital for what Love considers to be a "mental health" problem.

Kevin Love has a successful National Basketball Association career, a collaborative deal with Banana Republic and a swimsuit model girlfriend. "So I appreciate him coming out, I thought that was great".

The 29-year-old said he couldn't stop thinking about it and was afraid people would find out.

Love does not address it in his essay, but according to Cleveland.com he had another panic attack that game and disclosed his struggles to his teammates for the first time in that meeting. And look, I'm probably not telling you anything new here. But I didn't share - not to my family, not to my best friends, not in public. Honestly, I just didn't think I needed it.
