They can get 5% back when they shop at Whole Foods and use the Amazon Prime Rewards Visa credit card. These rewards will be the same as if they were to shop on Amazon, which means that eligible Prime members will receive a flat 5% bonus on all purchases made at Whole Foods. Customers with the non-Prime version of the card will also get 3% back at the popular grocery chain.

The Amazon Rewards Visa Card was launched with Chase past year.

You can check your rewards balance at checkout, and use your rewards to pay for part or all of your Amazon purchase. All the cardholders get back 2% on restaurants, gas stations and drugstores while 1% for all other purchases, notes TechCrunch.

Expect to see more integration between Amazon's technology and Whole Foods. The retailer already has the same offer for cash back rewards to cardholders who purchase items on their website.

Amazon is leaving no stone unturned to rake in more Prime members, and channel those towards Whole Foods and vice versa. Cash back credit cards are a good marketing vehicle to attract both new and existing customers as well.

The delivery plan is slated to be rolled out nationwide later this year.

Amazon, however, is focused on greater integration between the two companies through groundbreaking technology and offers, such as fast shipping.
