And according to the preview, the Vols are now a No. 4 seed in the tournament.

On Sunday afternoon, the NCAA Tournament Selection Committee released the Top 16 seeds as it stands right now, a month away from Selection Sunday.

A No. 3 seed for the Tigers would be their highest seed in the NCAA Tournament at any point.

The Tigers are now the No. 9 overall team, according to the committee, and are projected as the top No. 3 seed, playing in the Midwest Region.

There are four ACC teams now in the top 16, including No. 1overall seed Virginia.

Purdue, despite losing both of its games last week, is No. 1 in the West Region with Kansas, North Carolina and Arizona in Los Angeles. When the bracket came out a year ago, 15 of the teams were among the 16 we revealed in February. The NCAA Final Four will be played in San Antonio March 31 and April 2.
