Gruden will be announced this week as the next coach of the Oakland Raiders, and thus was working his last game for ESPN; McDonough made clear that Gruden was liked and respected not just by his broadcast partner, but by everyone involved with ESPN's National Football League production.

Of course, the Warriors won't want a lame-duck coach next season and Kerr has a good chance to add a third title before Gruden even coaches another game with the Raiders.

He is one of at least three coaches reported to have been definitely linked to Gruden's new staff, even though Gruden's position will not be official until Tuesday.

A top priority for Oakland's next head coach will be re-establishing Carr, who struggled this past season.
