Remarkably, it continued after the break, as this became the first time in Cowboys history that the team played to a scoreless tie through three quarters. They wouldn't have been that high on the totem of players pulled back.
Sidney Jones won't play the majority of the snaps. Jones' Achilles injury forced him to watch from the sidelines, and some believe that might prove to be a blessing in disguise.
However it sucks majorly that both have exited the Week 17 game against Philadelphia.
The Eagles should start fast in the first half, as their starters are more talented than what Dallas has to offer.
Should the Eagles consider starting Nate Sudfeld instead of Nick Foles in the playoffs? He completed 19 of 38 passes for a measly 163 yards. But he has followed up with two poor performances. Him and his receivers need to create some chemistry together while at the same time avoiding a big injury.
The Eagles running game, led by Jay Ajayi, LeGarrette Blount, and Corey Clement, managed just 78 yards on the ground as a group. Corey Clement has been playing well and as long as Wendell Smallwood isn't hurt, he should be active and get some carries as well, rather than risk an injury to their top ball carriers. This wasn't acceptable. We know how talented we can be. The Eagles now have the option of seeing how he responds to game action before deciding whether or not to use him in the postseason.

The church attack is part of a "ongoing crisis" in Egypt, said Omar Ashour, a professor of security studies at the Doha Institute. Pope Tawadros II says that since 2013 there have been 37 sectarian attacks on Christians in Egypt, almost one incident per month.
Foles' showing, coupled with how decent Sudfeld looked, will no doubt stir talk of Sudfeld getting a chance to run the offense in the playoffs. He completed 4-of-11 for 39 yards and his lackluster performance instilled very little confidence in the Eagles surviving one playoff game, let along reaching the NFC championship.
Unless the Eagles have been holding back offensively these last two weeks, it's a team that will have problems moving the ball against a decent NFC defense, which they will surely face in the playoffs.
Pederson said he wants the team to get some work in, but also acknowledged his hands are tied to an extent. The Eagles have an extra twist now that Foles, the backup quarterback all year, is the guy the Eagles are going to have to rely on in the playoffs.
You just never know, and even if those things don't happen, it's worth appreciating this team vastly overachieving what most thought they were capable of.
"We haven't done what we've wanted to do for the last two weeks", Foles said. The Cowboys were in this spot against the Eagles a year ago and Dak Prescott and the rest of the offense played a series before things were eventually turned over to Mark Sanchez.
There was, of course, still one more game left on the slate, as the Cowboys had to travel to Philadelphia to take on the Eagles in their 2017 finale.
