Entire foundation of BJP is based on lies: Rahul Gandhi

The Congress will analyse in detail why it failed to dislodge the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which has ruled Gujarat for 22 long years, and the road ahead.

Hours after Asaduddin Owaisi took a dig at Congress President Rahul Gandhi's temple visit, the party on 23 December said that the AIMIM president makes statements just to grab attention.

Interacting with mediapersons here at his party office here, Mr Owaisi said the temple politics of both parties indicated that they were deliberately attempting to politically marginalise Muslims.

"At every step, they were trying to polarise". "Should Modi, Arun Jaitley and other BJP leaders be not held accountable for conspiring with Vinod Rai to malign the Congress?"

He further said that the manner in which Congress campaigned for Gujarat has made the country think that they were not campaigning for elections but were on a temple run. "I agree. We will ensure discipline is enforced and the party is strengthened", Gandhi reportedly told the meeting.
