Whether or not the deal between 20th Century Fox and Disney goes through remains to be seen, but we imagine that if it does, there are going to be some huge changes in the near future.

Reports indicate an announcement could be made this week, with CNBC reporting the pair of companies "are on a "glide path" for a Thursday deal announcement" after Fox was left with a "sole suitor". On top of those assets, Disney would also acquire Fox's 30% stake in streaming television power Hulu. The deal is said to be worth over $60 billion, but the exact amount is still not known. Therefore, should the Disney deal go through, one would assume that Disney and Marvel would hold the distribution rights to Fantastic Four movies, but not the production rights - in effect, a reverse of The Incredible Hulk situation with Universal.

The appeal of certain 21st Century Fox assets to Disney remain obvious and apparent. That is what we tried to do and we are no longer engaged in the review of those assets.

"We never got the level of engagement needed to make a definitive offer", Comcast said in a statement.
