Supply: Rose apologizes to Cavs for absence

The Cavaliers have said Rose's current absence is different from the Knicks situation because he is not an active player and he communicated with the franchise at the outset of his leave.

There was some optimism that the Cavaliers would get Thompson back after he participated in the team's scrimmage Wednesday, but the big man experienced some soreness in his calf afterwards and Cleveland will remain cautious.

Rose, whose career has been dogged by serious knee injuries, initially hurt his ankle on October 20 in Milwaukee.

A team official, speaking to a pool reporter on background, said the Cavs discovered the spur when images were taken of Rose's left ankle after he sprained it in the season's second game, against Milwaukee. In that conversation, he revealed his left ankle issues are due to a bone spur that may require him having a procedure if the rehab work he is doing doesn't help it.

The Game Awards hold one more surprise for the fans of Bayonetta , as it is not the only one that's been brought to the console. Along with the game, it appears Japan will also be receiving a special bundle of the port - the " Non-Stop Climax Edition ".

"He didn't have to, but he did", Cavs coach Tyronn Lue said of Rose's message to the team. Now would be a ideal time, too, with the team riding a 13-game win streak.

The three-time All-Star will have to wait until he can do that, however, as he continues to recover from an ankle injury. He's averaging 14.3 points in seven games. "Everyone welcomed him back and is happy he is here, and that's it".

Lue said that the understated Rose was not particularly emotional when he spoke to the team. "You know he's a quiet guy".

Rose will be at the Cavs' game against the Kings on Wednesday night, and his teammates plan to check in with him individually when the opportunity presents itself in the coming days, according to a team source.
