Missing Florida teen has 'emotional reunion' with family

He is merely being questioned by State Police.

The incident began Sunday when Frisina's parents reported her missing.

Rodriguez is now being held in a NY jail and faces a charge of interfering with the custody of a minor.

The 2001 red Mercury Sable in which she was riding was spotted by a New York State Police officer who initiated a traffic stop.

Florida law enforcement authorities had issued a missing child alert for Caitlyn Frisina after she was last seen last week.

"We had a very handsome, wonderful, very emotional reunion with her a little while ago", the teen's mother, Scarlet Frisina, told reporters at a news conference Saturday afternoon. Frisina has family in NY and Rodriguez has family in Canada and possibly Pennsylvania, Murray Smith, public information officer for the Columbia County Sheriff's Office, said.

Potsdam police said it was too soon who may have been responsible. The suspect later died in a shootout with police in Italy . No additional details were immediately available.

Rian Rodriguez, 27, was taken into custody without incident. "But I absolutely believe that she was lied to and totally misled", Scarlett Frisina told CBS.

They were also spotted early Sunday evening at a pawn shop in Fayetteville, Hunter said.

The sheriff's office did not immediately provide details on the circumstances surrounding the girl being found. First Coast News was told he was sacked for not showing up to work.

According to reports, Frisina - who plays soccer at the Fort White High School, where Rodriguez is a coach for the boys' soccer team - left her house on Saturday night.

Sheriff Mark Hunter said, "She is legally a juvenile".
