Over twenty days after opening the registrations for the Android 8.0 Oreo beta update for V30 smartphone in its home market, South Korean smartphone maker LG has released the beta update.

Recently, HTC released the update for the U11 users in Taiwan.

HTC's VP of Product Management Mo Versi announced via Twitter that the unlocked HTC U11 will get the taste of Android 8.0 Oreo starting today.

Manny Pacquiao vs Conor McGregor could take place in 2108
Australian promoter Dean Lonergan recently tried to push the idea of a McGregor vs Pacquiao bout. We aren't far removed from a time that Mayweather-Pacquiao was the biggest fight ever.

The Oreo update will escalate the U11 to the exclusive list of Android Oreo devices. However, in later tweets, Versi has confirmed that the company is already working on rolling out Android Oreo to the Sprint carrier version of HTC U11. Carrier models will have to wait even longer, but they will get the long-awaited update soon too. It is clear that users will experience popular updates like Picture-in-Picture mode, which gives users the luxury to open another app while simultaneously watching a video. Following this, other countries should also get the update soon.

If you are wondering, when will Android Oreo be rolled out to the HTC U11 in other regions, we think it should be by the end of this year. The HTC U11 Life came with an Android 8.0 version out of the box for all global markets besides the U.S. market. The only downside with the smartphone is the bezels on the front, but the company recently launched a tweaked version of the U11, dubbed as HTC U11 Plus.

If you own an unlocked U11 in the Americas, check your phone for an update tomorrow, or check HTC's "Updates & Downloads" page for the U11 for details and download instructions.
